American Home Fireplace: La Crosse WI Patio & Fireplace

Lynn Meyer the owner of the American Home Fireplace & Patio started the business 26 years ago in a chicken coop on the family farm where they were living at. Lynn's back ground was in mechanical engineering and designing heating and cooling systems for commercial business. The old farm house where they lived was cold. Lynn's fascination when he was younger was with his grandfather's old wood furnace and how warm it kept the house, now he wanted that warmth again. He even tried his hand at making his own wood stove even though lacking proper steel and a welder.

The business stayed in the chicken coop for five years which they out grew and moved the store into West Salem. After two years in town they needed more space and moved again to the current location out on the west side of town into a building that is 10,000 square feet. The store has gone through a lot of changes to keep up with the changing times. Now with eight employees the company continues to grow and has a reputation of honesty,good quality products and unique design ideas for fireplaces.

Total square footage is 10,000 square feet with the warehouse and showroom.

The show room is 6000 square feet with over 80 displays of fireplaces and stone work.

We service gas and pellet fireplaces.
