Company History

Hebron Brick got its start in 1904. Charles Weigel and Ferdinand Lutz, immigrants from Johannestal, Crimea, built the Hebron Fire & Pressed Brick Company in the North Dakota town Lutz had founded a year earlier. That plant is still North Dakota's only brick manufacturer and its oldest operating manufacturing company, now turning out roughly 35 million bricks a year and supplying the Fergus Falls store and seven sister locations across Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. In 2017 the company became 100% employee-owned, and it's a proud member of the Brick Industry Association. A 120-plus-year story still being built one project at a time.

Facilities & Showroom

The Fergus Falls showroom is built for browsing at your own pace. Brick, stone, and fireplace displays you can actually walk up to and run your hands over, rather than a catalog you have to imagine from a photo. Staff will pull physical samples, build an on-site mock-up panel so you can see how a color, texture, or mortar combination actually looks together, and talk through options for both DIY weekend projects and full commercial jobs. It's the kind of stop where you plan to spend ten minutes and end up staying for an hour, because there's always one more material worth seeing in person.
