Company History

The Stove Shoppe has been in the hearth business since 1972, growing one showroom at a time instead of chasing a fast expansion. The company moved into its first Salem, NH retail space in 1977, added room there in 1981, then settled into its Windham headquarters in 1997. In 2006, that steady growth reached Route 125 in Epping, giving the seacoast and southern New Hampshire region a showroom of its own. The Manchester, NH followed in 2014 and Middleton, MA in 2025. Five decades and four showrooms later, the Epping store is still selling exactly what started it all: real fireplaces and stoves, sold and installed by people who understand how they actually work.

Walk into the Epping showroom on Route 125 and you'll find wood, gas, pellet, and electric stoves, fireplaces, and inserts on display alongside outdoor fireplace and grilling setups. The team walks customers through options like flame-through-glass finishes, accent lighting, and gas units styled to look like real masonry, then follows up with a free in-home or virtual estimate before anything gets installed. It's the kind of showroom where you come in for one stove and leave with a much clearer sense of what your fireplace could actually do.
