Company History

The Fireplace Place opened in Fairfield back in 1976, and half a century later it's still running out of that same stretch of Route 46. The kind of tenure that means real, hard-won knowledge of what actually holds up on a New Jersey chimney. Joel Dolberg, the company's president, leads the business today, and customers across the years consistently describe him personally handling product selection, permits, and inspections rather than handing them off.

Facilities & Showroom

Walk into the Fairfield showroom and you’ll find much more than a handful of floor models. Roughly 25 gas fireplaces are burning at once, alongside another 10 wood and gas inserts on display. The showroom also features a 35-unit electric fireplace section, which the store transforms into a seasonal “superstore” from September through April. It's also home to what they describe as the tri-state area's largest lineup of vapor fireplaces. Flame-look units that run on water vapor and LED light instead of gas or wood, cool enough to touch. Nothing here is a static display; you see these units actually running before you decide.
