The Ashbusters story begins in Middle Tennessee, where Mark Stoner launched the original company in 1985 at just 18 years old and grew it into one of the largest chimney companies in the country. Years later, John Perdue, a sweep who had worked alongside Mark for years, wanted to carry that same standard somewhere new, and he chose Charleston. Today John is head sweep of the Lowcountry location, a sister shop to Ashbusters in Nashville and Knoxville. The team's roots in the trade run deep, from a seat on the Southern Chimney Association board to teaching cultured stone masonry at the Southern Chimney Convention, and the company has earned national awards from Angi and Service Select.
