Company History

Vancouver Gas Fireplaces was started in 1994 by Robert Koby who recognized a need for a full service fireplace dealer in the Vancouver area. Prior to this Robert had owned and operated a successful contracting business for fifteen years and brought the general view and knowledge of a contractor to Vancouver Gas Fireplace’s clients rather than the narrow view of a specific trade. Samantha Pickering was brought on board as the first employee and is recognized as an encyclopedia of technical knowledge in the industry and is second to none for trouble shooting. Samantha is the manager and now part owner of the business.

Facilities & Showroom

Vancouver Gas Fireplaces has a 5,000 sq foot facility near downtown Vancouver with a showroom containing over forty operating fireplaces warehousing and offices.

Services We Provide

Vancouver Gas Fireplaces provides full service installation for all our products. We install throughout Vancouver, the lower mainland to Hope, the north shore, the sun shine coast and up to Whistler and Pemberton. For our custom projects we install throughout BC. We also provide a full menu of construction services as required to our clients – gas work, framing, finishing, tiling, electrical, whatever it takes to get the job done in an efficient manner. We work with architects and designers and builders to solve installation issues and provide options to specify.

We have developed a body of knowledge that has allowed us to design and create one off, unique custom fireplaces and fire features.
