Mountain Home Stove and Fireplace is northwestern Colorado’s resource for all your fireplace and stove needs. Offering sales, installation, service, sweeps and inspections – we have been keeping the Yampa Valley warm since 2002 with some of the best brands in the industry. Our showroom in Steamboat Springs features gas fireplaces and inserts by Mendota, Kozy Heat, Ambiance, and Hearthstone; we have 3-4 burning gas stoves as well as wood stoves by Blaze King, Pacific Energy and Hearthstone. If it’s an EPA-rated wood-burning fireplace you are looking for, come check out the Astria Montecito Estate. In the summer and fall, you might find us gathered around the Warming Trends fire pit we finished from their packaged kit. It gets around to some of the Valley’s social events and it’s an affordable, eye-catching center piece.

We are a small, family-owned company with seven full-time employees. We pride ourselves in providing current industry training for our technical staff. This results in top-notch sales and service with a small town’s attention to customer service and satisfaction.

Company History

Mountain Home Stove & Fireplace was launched in 2002 by Steamboat resident Wolf Bennett. He has a background in Architecture but wanted to serve the community in a small but much needed niche- the fireplace industry. Wolf began in a small shop on Elk River Road and singlehandedly performed all sales and service. In 2008, the business expanded and moved to the Loggers Lane center and Wolf added an employee to assist him with installs. As time went on business grew and we now have three full-time field staff who are trained in chimney sweeps, inspections, service and a sales representative devoted to helping our customers select the best appliance for their needs and budget.

In 2016, Wolf's life partner, Jackie Buratovich, became an owner. A licensed mechanical engineer, Jackie brings 40 years of construction and operations management to the business.

Facilities & Showroom

We are located in a 1500 square foot space at the west end of town in the Loggers Lane center. Our showroom features the most requested units in our area: steel and sandstone wood stoves; steel, enameled cast iron, and modern gas stoves; linear, traditional and wall-mounted gas fireplaces; gas inserts and a non-burning EPA-rated wood fireplace. We show traditional, mountain modern and contemporary units with many different finishes. We are currently showing all three of the logs sets offered by Mendota (oak, norway spruce and birch).

Our service department is lead and run by dedicated highly-trained employees who love their job. We perform chimney sweeps, diagnostics, service, and inspections. We can also order parts for your unit.
