Luxury Fire / Hamden, CT

Luxury Fire grew out of a local stone-and-hearth shop into a national favorite, yet it still works like a neighborhood dealer: free one-on-one consultations, real talk about venting, clearances and permits, and help that lasts well past delivery. Architects, builders and homeowners lean on this team for sleek European designs and trusted American classics alike. WeLoveFire.com is proud to endorse Luxury Fire because they know this craft inside and out and their people treat every project like it’s their own.

Company History

The story starts in Hamden with Superior Stone & Fireplace, a hands-on shop that has sold and installed fireplaces, gas fire pits and stone veneer for Connecticut homes since 1999. Under manager Bill Mastrangelo, that brick-and-mortar business grew into something bigger: Luxury Fire, a click-and-mortar e-retailer that now serves more than 10,000 homeowners, builders and designers and has completed over 3,000 projects. Their roots in the building trades run deep, too, with memberships in the National Association of Home Builders and the Home Builders Association of Eastern Connecticut, plus AIA affiliation that speaks to how closely they work with architects.

Facilities & Showroom

Luxury Fire's showroom is where the website becomes something you can feel. Working gas fireplaces, wood-burning inserts and electric models are fired up on the floor, so you can watch the flame, feel the heat and picture it in your own living room. The Superior Stone & Fireplace side adds displays of thin stone veneer for surrounds inside and out. Appointments are preferred so a specialist can give you their full attention, but walk-ins are welcome and parking is right on site. Can't make the drive? Their Virtual Design Center lets you browse and book a consult from anywhere.

Product Summary

The lineup runs from cozy traditional gas units to long, clean-lined linear fireplaces, vent-free models, wood-burning inserts and stoves, suspended designs, water-vapor electrics and clean-burning ethanol. Much of it comes from European design houses you rarely see in one place, alongside dependable North American names. Outside, the same eye for quality carries through to gas and charcoal grills, fire pits and fire tables, outdoor fireplaces, patio heaters, pizza ovens and outdoor kitchen storage and refrigeration.
