Established in 1976 in Highland, Maryland , Fireside Stone and Patio has been providing renewable heating, alternative heating, and custom fireplace design to the Clarksville, Columbia, Carroll County and Greater Baltimore areas for forty years! Fireside is a family business, started by Ed and Eileen Gross. Originally, Ed and Eileen operated an archery business on the property of their home in Howard County. When they purchased a wood burning stove to heat their archery facility, customers expressed an interest in purchasing them for their homes. Over time, the interest in alternative heating became so great that the hearth business replaced the archery business. From there, Ed and Eileen created their business, Fireside Stone and Patio.
