Company History

McCready's Hearth & Home has been family-owned and operated in Cambridge since 1983, building its name the old-fashioned way. One fireplace, one chimney, one satisfied Eastern Shore household at a time, before growing enough by 2007 to open a dedicated showroom that let customers see and touch the full range of what the company had come to offer. That growth reflects the company's own evolution. What began as a fireplace and hearth outfitter has grown to include outdoor living, stonework, and grilling. Today, the company partners with Eastern Shore Hearth & Outdoor Living to offer everything from stove installation and chimney restoration to complete hardscaping and landscaping projects. McCready's is a member of the HPBA, a mark of a business that stays connected to the standards and innovations of the industry rather than just selling whatever's on the floor.

Facilities & Showroom

McCready's added its showroom in 2007 to give customers a chance to see products in action instead of relying on photos or brochures. Visitors can explore working displays of wood, gas, and pellet stoves and inserts, along with fireplace surrounds, mantels, grills, fire pits, and outdoor kitchen features. Seeing the products in person makes it easier to compare styles, understand how much heat they produce, and picture how they'll look at home. With knowledgeable staff on hand to answer questions and explain the options, customers can take their time finding the right fit, all in one place in Cambridge.
