Company History

Builder's Fireplace opened in Lowell in 1999 on a simple idea: give West Michigan's builders a fireplace partner they could rely on. Owner Peter Klaver grew it into a two-showroom company, adding a Holland location to reach lakeshore families, and today the team works alongside hundreds of builders a year while still welcoming homeowners directly. It has stayed a family business, Peter's son Kyle now runs the outdoor living side, and many installers have stayed with the company for years, which is likely why so many customers call them out by name in reviews. Builder's Fireplace also belongs to the Home Builders Association of Michigan and the Lakeshore Home Builders Association.
