Company History

Woodland Stoves & Fireplaces opened its doors in 1977, and a few years later owner Peter Solac expanded it into the full-service hearth center it is today, covering sales, installation, and maintenance of wood, gas, and electric stoves and fireplaces. Solac has stayed deeply engaged with the industry over the decades, even weighing in on national EPA wood stove regulations as a voice for hearth retailers and their customers. Now closing in on 48 years, the shop still holds to the same idea that built it: know the product inside and out before you ever sell it.
