Hechler’s Hearth & Home is the premier fireplace and stove showroom in East Central Missouri. We have over 5000 sq ft of showroom space that has over 100 displays; many of which are hooked up and burning. Hechler’s specializes in electric wood and gas high- efficiency fireplaces and stoves. Hechler’s also offers a wide selection of BBQ Grills.
Company History
Hechler’s current showroom opened in 2002 in a building known historically as the Opera House, a historic two story building in downtown Troy, Missouri. The showroom has been expanded and moved from its previous location at Hechler Hardware, which was founded in 1896 and is still in the original family. Hechler’s has been selling wood stoves & hearth products since the beginning of 1896. Both our buildings, Hechlers Hearth & Home and Hechler Hardware, are architecturally ornamented in the Victorian steel front style seen at the turn of the century. Hechler’s Hearth & Home is now run by the 4th generation of the family.
Facilities & Showroom
Hechler’s Mainstreet Hearth & Home is located in a two story historic building known as the Opera House, built between 1894 and 1896. The first level is 5,000 square feet of showroom space that features a number of beautiful burning and ornamental displays. Upstairs, we have a secondary showroom that stretches 3,500 square feet. Since the building is equipped with a freight lift, we are able to move heavy stoves and fireplaces up to the second floor. The fireplace store, the hardware store, and two warehouses full of inventory combine to make up our entire facility.

Hechler’s partners with certified and qualified installation crews that offers installation and repair of stoves, fireplaces, and chimney systems & liners. We can provide you with a chimney sweep and also install fireplace fronts.
Specialties
Hechler’s has an online store where we provide many hard-to-find stove and fireplace parts. We stock parts for Vermont Castings, Dutchwest, Blaze King, Harman, Quadrafire, Hearthstone, Buck Stoves, Napoleon and several other gas fireplace brands. We have a custom sheet metal shop where making custom chimney chase covers, custom ductwork, and cutting and crimping stove pipe is a specialty.Some of our services include:
