Company History

Costello's traces back to 1973, when Vincent Costello took over a struggling hardware store in Deer Park after his own business folded in the oil-crisis recession. That scrappy determination built a company his children now run together, with Jamie as President and Michael as CEO, and it's grown into a family of 14 hearth and spa showrooms across New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Virginia. Costello's is a member of the Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association, and the Island Park store carries that same family-first, figure-it-out spirit into every fireplace and hot tub it sells.

Stop by the showroom at 3965 Long Beach Road and you'll find two very different comforts under one roof: fireplaces and stoves on one side, and a working display of hot tubs, swim spas, and cold-plunge units on the other.
