Hebron Brick Company / Grand Forks, ND

The story starts in 1904, when Charles Weigel and Ferdinand Leutz founded the Hebron Fire & Pressed Brick Company in Hebron, ND, hauling clay by horse and wagon. The plant weathered a WWI bankruptcy, a devastating 1926 fire, the Depression and WWII, and while 17 other North Dakota brick plants closed, Hebron kept firing its kilns. Today it's the state's only brick manufacturer, turning out more than 35 million bricks a year. In 2017, longtime owner Rodney Paseka sold the company to its employees, making it 100% employee-owned. The Grand Forks store, led by manager Dale Juve, carries that 120-plus-year legacy into the Red River Valley as one of eight Hebron Supply locations.
