Our story began in 2010, and our doors officially opened February of 2011. Since then, we have served thousands of residents of San Antonio and the surrounding areas. Our reputation of an unmatched level of professional service, a knowledgeable staff, and a no-pressure sales environment have led us to become one of south Texas’ leading destinations for the fireplace and barbeque industry.

We are dedicated to providing the most luxurious products in the industry! Our second-generation family owned and operated small business offers premium grills and outdoor kitchen equipment, interior and exterior fireplaces, gas logs, fire pits, and patio furniture.

Company History

Our company, Cozy Outdoor Escapes, was founded in 2011 by Dale and Travis Ponder. The San Antonio market was lacking a fireplace and patio supplier with a knowledgeable and professional sales staff that could cater to both custom home builders and also the everyday consumer. We wanted to have a focus on a customer-tailored experience, not a “here’s what you need” sales pitch. Over time, our business grew tremendously and our reputation developed as being the greater San Antonio area’s premier fireplace destination. In 2024, Travis and I took over as owners and we rebranded to Cozy Fireplace + Patio.

Facilities & Showroom

Our location is a standalone building, over 3,000 sf showroom space, and we have 20+ fireplaces on display. We have operational displays of wood-burning w/ gas logs, linear and traditional direct-vents, gas inserts, and electrics. We also have some static displays of modular masonry fireboxes and free-standing wood stoves. We also have three fully outfitted outdoor kitchens to display a variety of appliances and storage options, as well as a few fire pits and patio furniture sets.

Services We Provide

We offer sales and installation of fireplaces, gas logs, fireplace inserts, and other fireplace accessories, as well as design and build of outdoor kitchens and fire pits.

Certifications / Affiliations

Our sales and installation staff is trained and certified by the National Fireplace Institute, the only independent, non-profit continuing educational organization of the hearth industry.
