Company History

Rob Best came into the hearth trade in 2003 by way of construction, custom cabinetry, and design work, and he built his reputation doing it all himself: sales, installs, full wall surrounds, customer service. In 2006, his lifelong friend Travis Beaver joined as an installer and service tech, bringing an electrical and mechanical background that rounded out the team's skill set. A chance introduction to Dale Amundson in 2013 — owner of the 30-year-old Great American Homes and Fireplace — led to Rob and Danielle purchasing the business in July of 2014, turning a shared dream of working together into reality. The team kept growing in 2016 with the additions of Kurt Roder, Janet Shaw, and Steven Schultz, and today the company holds affiliations with the National Association of Home Builders and the Chippewa Valley Home Builders Association.
