Company History
It all started on job sites. Robert Boehs went to work as a construction helper in 1956, and in 1976 he and his sons Doug and John formed Boehs Construction. Doug's boys, Mahlon and Seth, spent their school summers working alongside the crew. The family realized its dream of a retail building supply in 2002, then added a lumber warehouse, a hardware store on Helena's Main Street in 2005, and in 2008 the hearth and patio showroom that became their calling card. In 2012, Seth and Mahlon each bought a third of the business, becoming equal partners with Doug. They like to call themselves "The Little Store That Could," and the name fits.
Facilities & Showroom
Step through to the hearth side of the store and the whole mood changes. The Helena showroom covers roughly 2,000 square feet, with each stove and insert set against its own stone or tile backdrop over warm Australian Cypress floors, so you can picture it in a real living room instead of on a warehouse shelf. When it opened, nothing like it existed within 100 miles, and customers still happily drive 50 or 60 miles to see it. Still deciding?
