About: Rick Lapp

Rick Lapp has worked in the Fireplace Industry since 2000, starting with installation and service, then general manager of a retail hearth shop on the East Coast. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Mid-Atlantic Hearth Patio & BBQ association since 2013, and currently serves on the National Board. During his time in retail, he developed a love for BBQ, and expanded the business into the BBQ category working with multiple manufacturers, then working directly for a US BBQ manufacture for several years, doing sales, cooking demos & more. Rick has experienced multiple aspects of the Fireplace and BBQ Industry working with both retailers and manufacturers in the USA and Canada and his passion is to see the industry continue to grow through advances in education, innovative products, and safety.
