BBQ on the Elbow
The Stempede Community Park South in Calgary is where BBQ on the Elbow will take place from July 7th-9th. This is a competition endorsed by Kansa CIty Barbeque Society (KCBS) and, as well as contests, there are also cooking demonstrations, tasting sessions and music.
The I Love Barbecue Festival
Lake Placid will also be holding a festival from July 7th-9th with entertainment and grilled meat. This American organization will offer something a little different to its Canadian counterpart with a parade of antique cars and motorbikes. This competition event is endorsed by Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS).
EGG Fests
Barbecue enthusiasts first fell in love with the EGGtoberfest in Atlanta in 1998 when the event was put on to thank consumers for their loyalty and involvement in the barbecuing community, especially concerning the Big Green Egg product. A good crowd attended the first gathering and this event has grown to such an extent that it‘s now absolutely unmissable with regional meetings taking place. On July 8th, New Holland in Pennsylvania and Northbrook in Illinois will welcome BBQ enthusiasts with their famous eggs to the Meadow Creek Barbeque Supply EGGfest and the North Shore EGGfest. On July 29th, it will be Shelbyville, Kentucky's turn to hold the event.
The Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival
Yes, you’ve read that correctly! There is indeed a festival that combines strong spirits with a barbecue to create a unique event that will take place in several American cities. The Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival will take place in Cary, North Carolina on July 28th and 29th before continuing to Virginia Beach. At these events, you’ll be met with around sixty different types of beer, forty different types of bourbon, barbecue tasting sessions, music, and a competition.
